ABL service parts without the guesswork.
The ABL changed during production, so year alone is not always enough. These are the references currently recorded in the Just T4s fitment library, including the oil-filter and air-filter change points that matter.
Routine service references
Up to July 1996: MANN W 1130/1. From August 1996: MANN W 830/1. Production date matters on ABL vans.
Up to December 1995 and chassis 70_T_199999: C 17 201/3 for normal environments. From January 1996 and chassis 70_T_200000: C 29 198. Separate dusty-environment variants are recorded.
MANN WK 842/4 is recorded for ABL diesel applications in the current library.
MANN CU 1738 is recorded across the core diesel engine set including ABL.
NGK Y-918J is recorded for ABL, AAB and AJA applications. Confirm the exact vehicle application before ordering.
ABL engine number 029319 is a change point: K015223XS is recorded up to 029319, K025223XS from 029320 onward.
Why My T4 helps
Save your engine, production month and engine-number sequence in My T4 and the fitment checker can distinguish records where those details change the answer. It is considerably safer than treating every 1990 to 2003 listing as interchangeable.
