MEET Nellie.
Lara fell in love with T4s and spotted Nellie on the marketplace, and just had to have her. Over seven months she has been making Nellie her own, including replacing the whole engine block after the previous owner seized the engine. The back was stripped out due to loft insulation. The project has included a dash replacement, new cupboards, flooring, insulation, wiring, a solar system, a new bed, a new front seat and a new engine, plus subframe swaps from early to late and some welding to the rear end.
Nellie is Lara’s Baby Blue & Purple SWB Camper, with a 1.9 engine and Manual transmission.
WHAT’S BEEN DONE?
Replaced the dash; fitted new cupboards, flooring, insulation, and wiring; installed a solar system; added a new bed and front seat; fitted a new engine; swapped subframes from early to late; performed welding on the rear end.
WHY THIS T4?
The colour stands out, but the vibe when driving is always relaxed, with the music on and a calm journey down the road.
