MEET Tommo.
Rob & Jo bought Tommo, a half-done eBay find, and initially wondered what they had purchased. After a gear linkage issue was sorted and a full service completed in early 2025, Tommo became drivable and the couple began a hands-on restoration. They tackled rust, dents and peeling paint, and used olive green and yellow military-style paint by hand. Suspension was raised by Leightons VW, and a Pop Top was installed by Pop Top Stu for £1350, transforming the van into a practical, more capable camper.
Tommo is Rob &Jo’s Olive &lemon LWB Camper, with a 2.4 engine and Manual transmission.

Full service and gear linkage greased; rust removal and dent filling; hand-painting in olive green and yellow; suspension raised by Leightons VW; Pop Top fitted by Pop Top Stu for £1350.
